Ultra-secured messaging app Olvid goes open source

Olvid is one of the most secured messaging apps, more secured than Telegram or Signal. Developed by a French team, Olvid is the first and only messaging system whose security no longer relies on any trusted third party, either operators or their servers. You can read the technical choices of Olvid Messaging app here.

It is the only solution certified by the French Security Agency, one of the most demanding in the world.

So this is very good news that the company open-sourced its core product. It has been a promise since the creation of the company, but the community was waiting for the effective move. This is now the case, with the opening on the GitHub project page and the possibility to open requests.

The company business model is to sell a version with secured audio calls and an enterprise-ready solution.
